This would be a good concept for a story but someone forgot to actually write it. Not worth a dollar and a disappointment.
good story though again too short to bother with, i prefer stories that last more than 5 min for a sitting
This is a story of a your Hastur Lord who loves his new wife and though he must go to war, he gives his word to return to her. And the story shows how he managed to do that.
I've read a fair amount of Marion Zimmer Bradley's Darkover novels over the years and have usually enjoyed them. But although this story had a good premise I found the wording stilted and almost formal in its style. And the crunch was that it was so short that if I blinked the story was finished - not worth the price!
Excellent story, as always, from an excellent writer. I adore all of her work and always have, since I found her when I was very young, about age 10 or so. MZB has always been able to capture my imagination to the point where I am immersed in the world of Darkover from the first word.
